"I love this outfit so much. It makes me feel empowered and confident, which is something I never thought I would be able to feel since developing acne.

My acne has stripped me of my confidence in so many ways, but over time, I have learnt to love my skin and appreciate the lessons it has taught me.

I find my voice through fashion, and love putting new outfits together that express my sense of style. Lately I have been making more conscious choices of what items to all to my wardrobe.

This blazer is my newest addition and I can see myself wearing this for many seasons!"

"I love a big pink dress, I adore the textures and layers and dominating confidence it gives me. As someone who feels the pressure of hyper-feminine societal standards, due to having a shaved head, I like to take this idea of a woman and amplify it to the extreme, mixing it with darker fashion elements. It empowers me."

"Having had acne for years and having grown accustom to people staring at me I subconsciously started changing how I dressed. Black and baggy became my outfit requirements- anything that would help me blend into the background. This suit is currently one of my favourite things to wear. Its a bright colourful explosion and comfortable as hell! there was never any need for me to blend into the background so now i try and makeup for those years by wearing anything that makes me feel like a self loving boss babe!"

"I was born with Piebaldism which is similar to vitiligo. It is caused by a mutation in the melanin which makes up the colour of your skin and hair. The white patch of hair at the front has 0 pigment in it. It causes patches of white skin on the middle of the arms, stomach and legs, I have a white stripe of skin up my forehead continuing to the white stripe in my hair. It changes hugely when I’m exposed to the sun as the dark patches become darker"

"Self acceptance Is a moment everyone experience once in their life time and it's for sure a tough one, but being able to

stand up against pointing fingers, against judgements, make you indestructable in the end.

This is what I wish to all the people that ever felt that they were put aside, or judged for being 'too different', for having too much acne, having too much this and not enough of that, I wish you will use this to make you forceful."

"Hi I'm Chelou. I've been suffering from hormonal acne for 18 years now. I went through a lot of anxiety and depression around this experience: I have long painful stories to tell that have left me with emotional and mental scars. Nonetheless, I am beyond grateful for the many lessons I've gained along my acne journey. It has taken me a very long time to truly love myself by also loving my skin and feeling grateful for it. Through this experience, I've come to understand that my beauty and my worth are not dependent on the condition of my skin. I've realized that I am more than my skin. "

“I believe that clothes have the power to impact your self-confidence. I feel the most confident when I am comfortable. Jeans are always my go to. I love to dress up or dress down jeans and here, I dressed them up with this fun, puff sleeves top. In this outfit I feel like I can go from lunch with friends, to drinks in the evening. I love this outfit because I feel like I can be myself and comfortable no matter what comes up in my day!”

“My name is Mary and I was born with CMN- Congenital Melanocytic Nevus. My skin is part of who I am and I love it. We all have something that makes us special, sometimes more visible, sometimes less. I’m very proud of my body and I don’t care if someone doesn’t  like it”

"Yellow is the colour that reminds me of the sun. By wearing it confidently, it makes me feel like I could embody its meaning. I say to myself, I can radiate my own positivity and warmth because whether I have acne or not, I am still beautiful the way I am. I won't let anyone else tell me otherwise."
