"A babe with rosacea 💕
There are so many of us who struggle with our skin, especially our faces. It's how we introduce ourselves to others before any words are said, it's hard not to be sensitive of how we look. Society has taught us that we should be covering any blemishes of discomforts for ourselves and others. I want to stand up to that and show that we CAN be comfortable In our skin, we shouldn't be covering ourselves up, instead we should be showing our authentic selves, untouched"

"I got diagnosed with vitiligo a few years ago, I was torn up about it and I became obsessed with covering it. But then I started to see the beauty in it, and I wanted others to see it the same way I do. So I launched @another_beauty_spotted
and started to create some artwork on other people’s skin, because our skin is unique art and that’s what I want people to see. I want to send a message to everyone, that you shouldn’t fit in with society’s beauty standards because you are born to stand out, and that itself is beautiful"

Jess Cochrane

Jess Cochrane is a visual artist. Her contemporary mixed media portraits
challenge both the pre-cencered ideologies surrounding 'beauty' and the
omnipresent censorship of the female
form. She provides a safe space for many women which they can journey to
self-acceptance.
